Water Search Dog Project Launch
The launch of our new Water Search Project took place at Conwy Lifeboat station on Wednesday the 11th July 2007.

Our aim is to train 6 dogs and handlers to search for missing persons in and around water. A further 15 team members will be trained to ensure the safety of the handlers during their Operations. We will only be searching inland areas such as rivers, lakes, mariners, ports and estuaries.
During the project we'll be working alongside the Maritime and Coastguard Agency and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, which have both given their support for the project.
We currently have 6 handlers and dogs for the project. Their initial training weekend was held on the 14th July. If anyone from any Emergency Services are interested in assisting with the project then please get in touch. |
