Team deployed - January 2011
At the request of North Wales Police, the team has been deployed in the ongoing search for a missing person in the Deeside/Flint area. Our Water Search Dogs have deployed as well as support from the Hovercraft Search & Rescue Team.

GRS supporter raises money - April 2011
In July 2007, GRS deployed on a search to look for a missing British Tourist in the mountains of the small Canary Island of La Palma. 

The team deployed but as they touched down, the body of Mark Harris was located and recovered. The team carried out and completed a fatal incident report to help the family with the understanding of the accident.

The son of the missing tourist Philip Harris contacted the team and asked to run the Brighton Marathon for our benefit, with the money set aside for operational needs. Phil has raised £1502.00 + Gift Aid for the team and we are eternally grateful.

Success at the 2010 Emergency Services Show - November 2010
8 members descended on Coventry for the 2010 Emergency Services Show. The show was packed with statutory emergency services, training organisations and suppliers. It was a great show for networking and allowed the team to raise their profile with the people who would utilise the team and our skills. Pictures to follow...

5 Team Members completed Powerboat course - January 2010

Request for Assistance from Saudi Arabia - December 2009
A request was made by the Saudi Authorities for assistance following mud slides in Jeda. An 18 person team were ready to deploy but no final green light was given by the Authorities to deploy.

Request for Assistance for missing person - November 2009
A request was made by Dyfed Powys Police for assistance in the search for a missing person reported to have fallen in the water. As the team were waiting for the water level to drop to a safe level, the person was found four days later.

Request for Assistance during Flooding - November 2009
The GRS Water Search Dog team were requested by Cumbria Police to assist with the search for a missing Police Officer. As the team were mobilising, they were stood down as the missing person was found.

Team Member assist the Croatian Rescue Services - 14th June 2009
Whilst in Croatia at the IKAR Conference, Team members were deployed today to assist with the search for an Alzheimer's victim. Details here.

GRS receive donation from the Medical Warehouse - June 2009
GRS have received a spine board as a donation from the Medical Warehouse. This will give us more options when rescuing our patients. A big thank you to them for their support.
